About the project
RV10 Project
My path to building my own plane wasn’t something I ever planned. After training on the Diamond DA40, a model I chose for its safety and reliability. I nearly bought one in 2023. But spending the equivalent of $300,000 on a 20-year-old aircraft didn’t sit right with me. Around that time, my friend and mentor John Burman shared his dream of building an RV-10, and the idea stuck with me.
By August 2023, I decided to take the leap and ordered my first kit, the Empennage Kit. The moment I began assembling those first parts, I realized something had changed: I wasn’t just a pilot-in-training anymore – I was a builder.
